Optometrist
Ann M. Carone, O.D. has joined Middlesex Eye Physicians in September 2024 along with her colleague, Howard L. Distelman, MD, as their practice Shoreline Eye Associates becomes part of Middlesex Eye Physicians. She previously joined Shoreline Eye Associates in 2013.
Dr. Carone is an accomplished physician who treats patients for general eye health, ocular conditions, post operative care, contact lens fittings and sees patients for emergencies. She brings to Middlesex eye Physicians years of clinical practice expertise, education and a deep knowledge in her field. She sees patients in our East Haven and Guilford offices.
After 9 years of studies at the University of Hartford and New England College of Optometry, did much of her clinical intern work for Veterans Affairs Hospital and Newport Naval Hospital. Ann worked with active duty military, retired military, and their families sharpening her skills in the areas of ocular disease and therapeutics. Dr. Carone soon joined a renowned eyecare group in Fairfield County. There she worked closely with the ophthalmologists on preoperative and postoperative care of state of the art surgical procedures.
