Pediatric Exam
Along with the information in a comprehensive eye examination, your child’s eye examination uses pediatric tools to obtain important information.
Children are typically referred by their pediatrician or parents noticing eye turns, crusty margins, and more. Early evaluation should occur if your baby was born prematurely and placed on oxygen or if you have a family history of retinal problems, congenital cataracts, and/or eye muscle disorders.
Younger patients presenting with a guardian's concern of sitting too close to the television, squinting, and head turning to the side to see clearly are evaluated. Your child should be seen by an ophthalmologist (Eye M.D.) prior to entering school or if you notice any vision problems.
Our ophthalmologist's accept appointments for young patients with eye irritations such as red eyes, itchy eyes, eyes with discharge, puffy lids and more.
