Dr. Roger Luskind

Roger D. Luskind, M.D. graduated with honors from Yale University with a B.A. in history.  Subsequently, Dr. Luskind received his M.D. degree from the New York University School of Medicine.  Following a one year internship in internal medicine, he completed a residency in ophthalmology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York.  Dr. Luskind then did a cornea/external disease fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. After completing his training, he spent several years as a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Florida School of Medicine with an appointment at the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa.  Dr. Luskind joined Middlesex Eye Physicians in 1991 bringing his expertise to problems of the anterior segment of the eye, contact lens difficulties, corneal transplants and cataract surgery, as well as general ophthalmology.  Dr. Luskind is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.  He has received advanced training and certification in a variety of laser modalities for laser vision correction surgery.  Presently he serves on the Board of Prevent Blindness Connecticut, which is headquartered in Middletown.
